Visiting this website and hosting

The website is hosted on a server provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. To deliver a page, the server processes your IP address, the requested address, request time, and technical information sent by your browser. This is necessary to establish the connection and deliver and protect the website. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in providing a working, secure website. No separate visitor access log is enabled for this website in its web-server configuration. Operational or error records may contain technical connection information when diagnosing faults or security incidents. Such information is needed for investigating and resolving the incident and, where applicable, establishing or defending legal claims. Operational container logs currently have no fixed automatic expiry; they remain until deleted during server maintenance.

This site has no user accounts, payments, contact form or separate audience-analytics service. Its images and styles are served from this website. Visiting this legal page does not load advertisements.

Cloudflare delivery and protection

Public requests to this website pass through Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, before reaching our hosting server. Cloudflare processes connection and request information, such as IP address, requested URLs and browser headers, to deliver and protect the website. It also protects the email address on this page against automated collection. This infrastructure processing takes place even when advertising is off. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, our legitimate interest in reliable delivery and protection against abuse. Cloudflare operates internationally; processing can occur outside the EEA. Its retention depends on the service and processing purpose, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We have not verified a fixed retention period or a particular regional-processing setting for this site's Cloudflare service.

Google search and external links

The Google logo is hosted locally. Merely displaying the search form does not contact Google. When you submit a search, your browser sends your search terms directly to Google, along with connection and browser information. We do not receive or store those search terms through this form. Google processes the search under its own privacy policy. The same principle applies when you follow an external link: you leave this site and the destination's privacy practices apply.

Optional Adsterra advertising

The homepage can display an Adsterra banner to help fund this website, only after you select “Allow all”. The supplied tag connects to bauval.org. Advertising delivery can involve other domains and partners. Adsterra's published terms identify AD MARKET LIMITED, Christaki Kranou 49, Germasogeia, 4041 Limassol, Cyprus, and affiliated entities including ADMEDIA LLC FZ in the United Arab Emirates.

Ad requests disclose connection information, including your IP address and browser information. Advertising services may use cookies, device identifiers and interaction information to select and measure ads, recognise devices and prevent fraud. Other open tabs of this site also reload when the saved choice changes. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing or automatically erase data held by advertising services. Use your browser settings to remove existing cookies and site data, and contact the relevant provider to exercise your rights. If saving withdrawal in local storage fails, a rejection flag in session storage (giybf.advertising.rejected) keeps advertising off in that tab until its session ends.
